The NHS Cross Country Team completed at the Manhattan Invitational this past Saturday.
Mallorie Coffman lead the varsity girls with a 4th place overall finish in a 4K time of 16:22.73, which was the highest finish by a railer runner in recent years. Shannon Ahlstedt placed 11th (16:54.10), followed by Erin Loeffler in 18th (17:09.99), Laci McCartney in 27th (17:43.65), Kelsi Langley in 39th (18:24.59), and Ardys Woodward in 44th ( 18:37.52).
The girls placed 2nd as a team with a total score of 77, besting Manhattan (86), Wamego (88), Lawrence (100), Emporia (126), and Topeka-Seaman (163). Topeka- Washburn-Rural won the title with a score of 47.
The Girl's JV team placed 6th.
The varsity boys were led by Austin Lettau in 27th place with a 5k time of 18:00.80, followed by Laban Lalouette at 42th (18:54.77), Joel Gouvion at 43rd (18:55.83), Rene Madrigal at 46th (19:04.16), Dylan Koerner at 58th (19:45.58), and Dilan Winter at 59th (19:45.58). The varsity boys placed 8th out of 11 teams.
The boys JV team placed 11th. The boys C team placed 9th.
